Founded by Remy Savage

Remy's career started over 15 years ago while he was working in French pubs to fund his studies in philosophy. It was during this time that he discovered a passion for spirits, flavour, and most importantly, hospitality.

Since then, he has worked across a range of venues ranging from street bars to 5-star hotels, always looking for opportunities to express and explore philosophical and artistic concepts.

These fundamentals were reflected in his work at the Little Red Door and the Artesian, until he had the opportunity to open his own venue in 2020: A Bar with Shapes for a Name. This Bauhaus-inspired bar brings together flavour and functionalism and was quickly recognized for its contribution to the mixology industry. Following its immediate success, Remy and the Drink More Art team launched Bar Nouveau in Paris, which offers an interpretation of the Art Nouveau movement and olfactive mixology. Later that year, the Abstract Distillery and Bistro, inspired by the Abstraction movement, opened in Lyon. Dedicated to the production of single-ingredient distillates, known as monochromes, the lab functions as a production facility and part-time bistro. Both venues have received recognition for the innovation they bring to the cocktail industry. Remy continues to imagine and execute new venues that bring together the worlds of art and flavour.

Outside of his venues, Remy continues to seek creative avenues to express his passion for art, minimalism, and beauty. He has served as the Master Mixologist for Martell Cognac for several years, where he leads the design and execution of cocktail development.

Beyond drink creation, Remy has collaborated with Nude Glassware to deliver their first-ever mixologist led line of cocktail glasses. In 2024, he launched his collaborative clothing collection with LaneFortyfive. Looking forward, Remy plans to author a series of books and publications that explore flavour, taste, and aroma.
